It’s a sight I have never seen before and something that will haunt me forever –

Boarded Bloomingdale's!!!

I can’t breathe! It’s fucking – awful!!

My lovely, lovely Bloomingdale’s – boarded against Hurricane Irene!!

I am pleased however to add that Bloomingdale’s survived the storm! As did I.

I attended a Hurricane Party!

So much fun!

Just thought I’d let you all know!

    I liked this post.

Just thought I’d let you know! šŸ˜‰

  2. OMG Andi! You scared me to death! Not thinking about the hurricane right off, I thought perhaps B’s had gone bankrupt and closed its doors! Now, truly, that would be a sign that the apocolypse was near! The world would not be the same without our wonderful Bloomies!

    Thank you, guys!
I agree Paula, if Bloomingdale’s closed due to bankruptcy – I don’t know what I’d do!

There’s a lot worse going on, than a luxury department closing for a day or two. My electricity went out a few minutes after 3, on Sunday morning, and didn’t come back on until 3:08 AM Wednesday. Me, and most of the people here on Long Island had to throw out everything in our refrigerators. I had to buy “Food ready to eat”. That consisted of Munchies, Twinkies, Pop-Tarts and fried potato skins. I also had Fiber 1 cereal to eat, but with water, not milk. Now that the power’s turned back on, I’ve got myself milk, eggs, packaged prunes and appricots, along with canned and packaged foods; so I’ve returned to eating like a civilized adult.

There are many more things I can say about it, but this is your blog. I’m going to be writing an article of my own about the storm, and probably post it on the facebook WTF.

I know there’s a lot worse going on, MrB.
I just wanted to give people something to laugh about.
I am well aware of the power outage, of the flooding and everything else.
I just thought it would be nice to have a laugh about something affected by Irene and not all of us state our grievances in a never-ending list with no humor or merriment at all.

Right. I agree with you. It’s just all been very difficult for me to handle, and on Thursday morning I was still very peeved. Now I’ve calmed down. I know you’re a good person. You actually went down to the Gulf Coast last summer, to help with the cleanup after the oil spill. I’ll try to behave better from now on.
